Once we have received computers and electronics to recycle from you, they are palletized, itemized, and then processed with a first in, first out process. We determine whether a computer or device is still functional or even worthwhile of being functional. If so it's refurbished and we find a home for it. Maybe there's a high school kid down the street that can get his or her paper written now that there's access to affordable used computers. Unfortunately that's just a small percentage of the computers recycled. Recycled electronics that can't be repurposed are dismantled and all the materials have a specific safe recycling process. Even the plastics! Perhaps someday your recycled computer will come back to you as the latest and greatest smart phone!
